Community Overview

Point Venture is a residential community on the scenic North Shore of Lake Travis. The population is approximately 475 people. Point Venture is home to a mixture of families and retirees, drawn to the area by the beauty of the Highland Lakes and by the wide variety of activities available in the area.

Point Venture is easily accessible from the Greater Austin area by way of State Road 1431.

Government

The Village of Point Venture was incorporated in August 2000. The city council of the Village is composed of a Mayor, a Mayor Pro Tem, and four at-large council members. Half of the council comes up for election each year. All council members, though elected, are volunteers, receiving no pay for their time and labor. The council is supported by a Village Secretary and an Assistant Secretary.
